Service Description
What is the forge? Part competition, part group learning, part tailored coaching. If you want to improve as a shooter with evidence based coaching, this is the series for you. The forge is where we take safe shooters and make them more accurate, more efficient & more confident. We're leveraging 11 years of teaching experience to help you grow. At each event Spitfire will demonstrate a series of drills to efficiency & accuracy standards. Participants will be given the opportunity shoot the drills, record their results, and receive objective coaching on specific improvements for the sake of efficiency and accuracy. Additional sub drills or compound drills will be added as would assist individual needs. Participants may be partnered up and help each other in recording their performance. Spitfire will provide leadership in demonstrating drills & identifying critical areas for improvement. Coaching will be given on a group and/or individual basis as needed. SIRT & other dry tools will be used when helpful. Our 1st event will be a series of drills at distances 7 yards and closer, designed to enhance fundamental skills, such as draw time, reloads, & contact shooting. Our 2nd outing will incorporate more & varied distance & multiple target drills. Our 3rd event will involve moving forward, rearward, and laterally to targets, heightening the need to to build a platform rapidly, & to engage with consistent follow up shots. Our 5th event will consist of applying your skills in settings that will simulate more real conditions & positive target identification.
