Service Description

For ladies, taught by Nate. The following Sundays this year we will have this 4 hour (per class) progression of the defensive handgun series: 5/24, 6/28, 7/26, 8/23, 9/27, 10/11, 11/8, 11/22. This is the Intermediate defensive curriculum for students who have completed a gun safety program & who can safely & confidently handle a handgun. This is an active course that will keep you on your feet most of the day. Sign in starts at 1:00 PM class starts at 1:15 PM. Course objectives: Low light principles Moving with intentionality in confined spaces Review of Pie vs Pan What is the legendary "fatal funnel" Options for entry This is a very active class with a mid range round count. Breaks will be taken throughout the day to give students needed times of rest. Safety is our highest priority. Students should bring water, food for lunch as well as snacks to fuel them throughout the day. Clothing appropriate for the day including shirts with a high neckline rain gear if needed, sturdy shoes or boots, a brimmed hat & trousers (pants). Don't forget bug spray & sunscreen. Prerequisites: Must have completed a defensive handgun 4.0 or it's equivalent & demonstrate/explain the following on demand: Situatioanal awareness, Trigger Finger discipline, Muzzle control, the ability to load, unload & confirm the gun is unloaded. We can help and have on hand some of the following equipment. Please let us know if you need anything. Required equipment: Modern reliable semi automatic handgun (revolvers can be brought but you will be reloading more). A gun belt, A stiff leather belt can work but very few are good enough to compare to a real gun belt. A stiff outside the waistband kydex or leather reinforced holster, it’s recommended that they have friction based retention. 3, 15(+) round magazines, must be able to have 45 rounds on the line at a time. Speed loaders if you opt for a revolver. Ability to conveniently carry two magazines. Impact rated eyewear. Hearing protection at 25 decibels+. You may prefer to have two layers of hearing protection. 150 rounds of ammunition recommended 9mm Ammunition is available at $14 for 50 rounds. Live Free or Fiocchi ammo.
